About us

A matching service that tells you the truth about itself

We connect people carrying debt with independent providers who may be able to help. We are paid by those providers. Everything below is written so you can decide how much to trust that.

Where the name comes from

Mannah takes its name from the provision that arrived each morning in the wilderness — enough for the day, for everyone, with no one left out. Nobody got rich on it. Nobody went without. You could not hoard it, and you did not have to earn it.

That is an unusual thing to name a financial company after, and we know it. We chose it because it describes the posture we want to take toward a person who is in trouble with money: enough for today, and a plan for tomorrow. Not a windfall. Not a miracle. Not the thing the ads promise. Just the next right step, explained honestly, with the costs on the table.

Our values come out of a faith tradition, and we are not shy about that. But they are not a membership requirement, a screening question, or a sales angle. You will never be asked what you believe. Whatever you believe, you will be treated the same way here.

Why this company exists

If you have spent an evening searching for help with $30,000 in credit card debt, you already know what the internet looks like from inside that problem. Pages that promise outcomes nobody is in a position to promise. Countdown timers. Numbers that are not real. Forms that hand your phone number to eleven call centers at once, and then the phone does not stop for a week.

The industry works that way because it is paid to. A lead sells for more when the person is excited and in a hurry, and the fastest way to make somebody excited and in a hurry is to overstate what is possible. Everyone downstream of that sale then has to manage the expectations it created.

We are paid the same way — per lead, per call, per enrollment — and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we can control is what we tell you before you get there. So we built the site backwards from that: disclosures on the screen instead of in the footer, no numbers we cannot stand behind, one provider at a time, and a consent box you have to tick yourself for each one.

What we are, and four things we are not

Mannah Financial is a free matching service. You answer a short set of questions. We compare your situation against what our partner providers actually work with — including the state you live in, what you owe, and where your payments stand — and if there is a fit, we show you who it is and let you decide.

  • Not a lender. We do not lend money, hold deposits, or set rates.
  • Not a debt relief provider. We do not negotiate with creditors or enroll anyone in a program.
  • Not a law firm. We do not give legal advice or represent anyone before the IRS.
  • Not a credit repair company. We do not dispute items on your credit report.
  • Not free to the industry. We are free to you. Providers pay us. That is the whole model, and it has its own page.

The four rules we hold ourselves to

  • We tell you what we are

On every page, in the first screen: Mannah Financial is a matching service. Not a lender. Not a debt relief company. Not a law firm. If you are looking for the company that will actually negotiate with your creditors, that is a provider we introduce you to, and we say their name before you agree to anything.

  • We show you the disclosures where they apply

Not buried in a footer at 11px. The trade-offs of a debt relief program sit next to the button that starts one. If a decision can hurt your credit, that sentence is on the same screen as the decision.

  • Nothing moves until you say so

Your answers sit with us. They are not sold, shared, or passed to a provider until you pick that provider by name and check the box for them. If you close the tab, nothing happens.

  • We say when the answer is no

If nothing we have fits your situation, you get a page that says so and points you at free help — the IRS payment plan page, nonprofit credit counseling, legal aid. We make nothing on that outcome, and the site is built so that it happens whenever it should.

How we choose who to work with

A provider has to clear three things before we will introduce anyone to them. They have to be licensed or registered where that state requires it. Their fee structure has to be the kind the Federal Trade Commission's Telemarketing Sales Rule allows — for debt settlement, that means no fee until a debt is actually settled. And they have to accept that the person on the other end was told the truth about trade-offs before they arrived, which means we will not work with a provider who wants us to soften the credit-impact language.

We name the provider on the results page before you consent, not after. If you have never heard of them, you can go and look them up, and we would rather you did.

The company behind the brand

Mannah Financial is a brand operated by NexteraGroup LLC, 1309 Coffeen Ave, Sheridan, WY 82801. Questions, complaints, or a request to have your information deleted all go to [email protected], and a person reads them.

We are a small operation. That is a fair thing to weigh when you decide whether to trust us, so we are not going to dress it up with stock photos of a trading floor or a number of customers we have not served. What we can offer is that the rules above are not marketing copy — they are the actual constraints the site is built under, and you can check every one of them yourself as you go through it.
